Volunteer
The Richmond Animal Protection Society always needs new volunteers at both of our shelters. If you can dedicate just a few hours of your week, we need volunteers to feed the animals, clean animal pens, do laundry or dishes, and walk dogs.
If you wish to volunteer at the RAPS Cat Sanctuary, volunteer shifts are from 9 AM to 12 noon and 6 PM to 8 PM daily. If you wish to volunteer at the RAPS City Shelter, volunteer shifts are from 9 AM to 12 noon daily. Volunteer shifts are usually two hours long, and we recommend that you commit to just one or two shifts a week.
We also are in need of volunteers to help out at events and to work on various fundraising committees and special tasks. Come meet fun people and spend time with wonderful animals!
