Ric, Marie, Tessa, Janice, Doug
and Leslie (seated)
take a break and offer lap time to a few of the sanctuary residents.
Carol
The shelter exists because of the devotion of this lady.
She's saved many little lives and tirelessly assumes the role
of "mother" to all of the cats at the shelter- indeed in most
of Richmond!
Joy
This is a scene that you can often see at the shelter-
Joy surrounded by happy cats.
Tessa
Every week on her day off, Tessa drives all the way
from North Vancouver to volunteer at our shelter.
Her own "cat family" has grown considerably since she
joined us. Our beautiful furballs are hard to resist!
Doug
Every weekend, Doug comes to the sanctuary to enjoy the cats
and unwind by
using his newly discovered talent for carpentry and fixing just
about anything
Waldie
Waldie (with Patch, an elderly cat who had feline AIDS) has
been helping street cats at feeding sites for almost 30 years.
He and his wife, Barbara, have volunteered at the shelter
twice a week since it opened in 1999.
