This is the area where our cats get to show off their beautiful selves.and why not? It's what they do best! We hope you will enjoy the photos of some of our furry friends.
Our shelter provides a safe and loving home to many tame cats
while they await adoption, as well as a permanent home to
hundreds of feral cats. In time, some feral cats will eat from our
hands and allow us to pat them; however, they will never be
tame enough to adopt as pets. Visitors to our shelter cannot
distinguish the tame cats from the wild ones, because they all
appear equally content.
We take in abandoned and lost animals, and cats whose owners
have become ill or have passed away. Some of the animals we
harbour have behavioural problems which led their owners to
consider "putting them down." We strongly oppose the killing of
cats who are highly territorial ("sprayers"), who scratch furniture,
who bite and scratch because people "played" aggressively
with them when they were kittens, or who may be ornery and
unpredictable due to a neurological disorder or mistreatment
by human beings.
With the continuing support of people like you, we will be able to
provide a loving, permanent home for all of these animals.
